You know, Diwali is a victory of good over evil. The vanquishing of the demons and the start of something new. So today’s post is dedicated to our inner demons which raise their head ever so often and love scaring the living daylights out of us.
The turbulent times pretty much knock us out. And sometimes they don’t end, its like the universe wants us to suffer a bit more. And not all of us are Rockstars in dealing with them. So here are some simple things which are helping me in my journey.
All of us view this world with filtered glasses. And these filters keep evolving basis the experiences we have or the biases we have acquired over the years. But it’s when the voice in our head wants to take an action that can sabotage self and/or others, that’s when we need to start paying attention.
I am writing this article today, because it’s been a month to the start of the year and while a lot of us would have made some resolutions on how awesome we would be this year, am sure reality is taking over. We are slowly drifting back into our comfort zone.
We are often told “get over it” or “look on the bright side” when we are feeling miserable. Ever seen a parent distract their child when he is getting emotional or bawling? Isn’t that what we learn to do even when we grow up; treat our reactions to problems like a taboo? Why are we not okay to feel bad?
