The Covid-19 situation in India has exploded right now. This is the second wave, which has had far greater consequences than the first wave, last year. It makes you realise, life is life till it is not, and this itself has so much to learn from.
Why is it sometimes so difficult for us to accept praise? We all crave it, but when it comes knocking we don’t know how to receive it.
Sometimes it is important to get a little uncomfortable before you get comfortable. So here is me taking baby steps, in putting myself out there.
This blog feels incomplete without paying tribute to the one person who occupies all my senses these days… my tiny bundle. He turns one today (whew…). So here are my key learnings from him over this year.
We all have plans right? We are taught to have goals, always be future focused, result oriented. But in all this, we do sometimes forget that the journey to it can also be fun. We are just so focused on that tiny dot, that we don’t see all the colours around us.
Like we invest our hard earned money in saving schemes, equity markets, property etc, why are we so often hesitant to invest in our own growth? Do we already know everything there is to know or try?
The turbulent times pretty much knock us out. And sometimes they don’t end, its like the universe wants us to suffer a bit more. And not all of us are Rockstars in dealing with them. So here are some simple things which are helping me in my journey.
As my journey in self love continues, one of the key issues I have been struggling with is,
decluttering my mind from undealt-with emotions. Such kind of baggage can weigh quite heavily on us and our loved ones. I think there is never a perfect time other than now to deal with this ‘junk’; else it will always haunt us and become some sort of an appendage we learn to live with.
Don’t we have those days when we just don’t ‘feel like it’. Where staying at home or in our blanket seems more important or soothing than stepping out and facing the world?

All of us view this world with filtered glasses. And these filters keep evolving basis the experiences we have or the biases we have acquired over the years. But it’s when the voice in our head wants to take an action that can sabotage self and/or others, that’s when we need to start paying attention.
